Tech Tip

The tips on the canvas dashboard were very helpful. I have been using canvas for all 4 years of college but did not know some of the amazing functions that are actually on the site. These tech tips are very helpful and I wish other classes did this for their students. I wish I would have known some of these things when I was a freshman. Anyway, thank you for these amazing tips!

Story Lab

Writer's Write Notes: I liked how they gave us ideas when it comes to deal with a rejected manuscript. The writing process takes a while and not every thing we do is going to be accepted.  How to choose your genre was also very helpful especially for this class. I am doing a portfolio so I do not need a specific genre, but I really enjoyed reading about good ways to choose a genre.  How to use setting as a conflict is also very interesting and brought up a lot of good points. I could use a lot of the ideas in my own writing to add a new element to my stories.  ( Writers write )

Tech Tip

I looked at the tech tips and found them very useful. One that I use more is the multiple browsers. Not only is it useful for this class, but using multiple browsers has helped me in all of my classes as well as enrolling. For some reason, when I enroll some browsers do not work. I constantly have to switch browsers in order for it to work properly for me.

Week 11 Story: The Chase remastered

Image
One day, a little boy, his father, and his grandfather went out on a hunt. The goal was to go out and turn the young boy into a man by getting him his first deer. The family was trudging through the woods trying to find the perfect spot to try and see some deer. Eventually, the boys found the spot and saw a deer.  After spotting the deer, they started making their way across the mountain and started tracking it. Hours and hours of searching later, they finally found the deer. It was perfectly still and all you could hear was the wind blowing through the trees. The deer was on the bank of the river just about to take a drink of water when all of the sudden, a noise spooks the deer.  The deer immediately takes off running and the boys start chasing it. On and on the men rode on their horses and the deer kept sprinting along. Finally, the boy got close enough to the deer to shoot it with an arrow right through the heart. Once hit, the deer immediately fell; however, this was no ordinary
